Promoting our first overseas "location-creation" style urban development within a large-scale township project.
Building on our presence in Vietnam established through the Saigon Centre project, since 2019 we have been participating in a large-scale township development in Hanoi, called the Star Lake Project(*). We aim to implement in Vietnam the same "location-creation–based urban development" model as we implemented in Futakotamagawa and Nagareyama, and are advancing the development of Westlake Square Hanoi, a large-scale centered around a shopping mall.

Located approximately 6 km northwest of central Hanoi, on the west side of West Lake (Hồ Tây), this large-scale urban development offers excellent access to both the city center and the airport. It is expected to become a new urban hub in the future, with government offices relocating there and a new urban railway line under construction.
The project will be developed in two phases, with 1st phase focusing on shopping center and the 2nd phase focusing on offices facilities.
"Westlake Square Hanoi" is being developed in two phases, with a step-by-step approach that aligns with the growth and maturation of the surrounding community. In the 1st phase, scheduled to open in 2027, the project will feature an office component and a commercial component anchored by Hanoi Takashimaya, marking the third overseas Takashimaya department store. By fully showcasing the value of the Takashimaya brand in its Hanoi debut and attracting distinctive retail and experiential content, the facility aims to serve as a vibrant platform for shopping, experiences, information exchange, and community interaction. In the 2nd phase, scheduled to open after 2030, we are planning on a 35-story office tower.
